Behind the Scenes – Lifestyle Photography
Have you seen our latest lifestyle photography? You may have seen these images on social media, our website and various marketing! This photography is whole new venture for Kit and Kaboodal and we are excited to share the behind the scenes workings of these shoots.
Lifestyle photography is something the creative team have been eager to do for a long time and now as the team grows we have more opportunity to carry out these shoots. Laura, Head of Marketing, brought together our Creative Manager Nicola and local photographer Mike Whorley to do some in depth training. After lots of chatting, preparing to right equipment and putting some ideas together we were ready for the first shoot.
The team gathered some best selling styles, great layering pieces and got ready to hit the road. The first location was a village very local to Kit and Kaboodal HQ where we took various images. One of the most successful images was in the villages local library – a telephone box!
After a successful short session in the village another date was planned for full day of photography – we had got the buzz! The next location was at Naomi’s Farmhouse and outbuildings. We found so many great spots for the perfect backdrop and brought along another model to create some great, animated group images.
The shoot was filled with lots of laughs, climbing on hay bales, many outfit changes and testing out new camera lenses. We knew we had the right set up, plus some great images to edit back at HQ.
We finished the day with yummy hot chocolates loaded with mini marshmallow, any excuse to warm ourselves up! The cars were loaded up with all the equipment and we dashed back to Kit and Kaboodal HQ to look at what we had captured.
Nicola and Mike spent a lot of time looking over the hundreds of pictures to select the best ones to use, then it was time to edit. Why not take a look at some of the finished images now…
Keep looking out for more images as we do more shoots throughout the summer. These shoots are a great way to see styles put together and how to wear them, plus you get a stronger idea of how the fall and fit on the body.
